Every Friday, we meet with Mrs. Mullin's 5th graders. They are our Book Buddies. We read to them and then they read a story to us. This is a highlight of the week!  We love seeing our Book Buddies at lunch and at recess too. They are our good friends and can help us if we need it!

Our Trip To The Fire Station

The Kindergarten classes of Great Falls enjoyed our first field trip to the Central Fire Station. Thank you Firefighter Dale!

We got to check out Firefighter Ashley's equipment and learned that although it may appear scary, it is needed to keep our firefighters safe while they do their job.

The 2016-2017 K-5 Learning Beyond the Classroom Contribution Drive is Underway!

The Gorham K-5 schools recognize the importance of taking learning experiences beyond the walls of the classroom so that students can benefit from the rich resources within our community and region.

Learning Beyond the Classroom is our campaign to support field trips, experiences, visiting experts, guest artists, etc., which assist us in providing learning and wellness opportunities for our students that are of high interest and relevant to our curriculum.

Our contribution drive is a quick and direct way to donate to the learning beyond the classroom opportunities that your child will be experiencing throughout this school year. Great Falls Elementary School needs to raise a total of $10,000 in order to provide these opportunities for our students.

We have approximately $3,500 raised at this time!

This contribution drive will replace our annual fall fundraiser. We are relying solely on parent donations to support our efforts.

We are asking for a $20.00 donation per student, but any amount is greatly appreciated!

Please make checks payable to Great Falls Elementary School and return to school by Monday, October 24th.

Math Fun

A message from GREAT FALLS ELEMENTARY SCHOOL

Come join us for a fun filled night where you can THINK LIKE A STEAMOLOGIST!

 

Great Falls STEAM Family Fun Night is happening Friday, October 14th from 6:00 to 7:00pm.  We will have lots of fun activities for families.  Children can play with oobleck, build bridges and roller coasters, learn about animals and their senses, create a tessellation, help our friend Harry, and much more.  

 

We will end the night at 7:00pm in the gym with the introduction of our newest Code of Conduct Character!  Billy and Ricky can't wait for everyone to meet the newest friend of Great Falls.

Dance time!

At Great Falls we encourage movement and fun. On Friday morning, we have a short little dance party to kick off the day. Our Friday Morning DJ really gets us moving!
