As a final activity to wrap up our unit on expository writing "Just the Facts", the class has traveled to 5 different parts of the world as scientists. Each day, we boarded a plane with our passports and took off! We visited the polar region in Antarctica, the dessert area of Africa, the Atlantic Ocean, the rain forests of South America and the forest region of the United States. Each day, the students participated in themed centers. The pictures below are of our trip to the desert to study the meerkat and other desert animals.
